We’re pleased to announce a new partnership with Fum d’Estampa Press. This August, UMass Press began distributing and marketing Fum d’Estampa Press’s translations of award-winning Catalan language poetry, fiction, and essays in the United States. Headquartered in Barcelona and London and founded in 2019, Fum d’Estampa Press is recognized for working with some of the most exciting and well-known translators of our moment. Their books have garnered praise from outlets like The Irish Times, NB Magazine, and The Fortnightly Review, and have been recognized with a PEN Translates Award.
“We are thrilled to partner with Fum d’Estampa Press to bring Catalan literature to readers in the United States,” said Mary Dougherty, director of the University of Massachusetts Press. “They work with some of the most talented translators on the international scene to make these vital works of literature better known.”
“I am delighted to work with the wonderful team at the University of Massachusetts Press to bring our titles to North America,” said Fum d’Estampa Press’s founder and editor Douglas Suttle. “We see this as a huge opportunity to bring important literature in translation to the great American reading public.”
Fum d’Estampa Press’s books are available for purchase direct from the University of Massachusetts Press and from all major retailers. Bookstores based in the United States may order their titles from the Chicago Distribution Center by calling 1-800-621-2736.
