The University of Massachusetts Press has served communities of readers, scholars, and creative writers for the past 55 years. Gifts from generous individuals and our authors make it possible for us to publish the timely and vital titles you see here—volumes that make a lasting impact on our society and our world.
You can make a gift to the Press online, or if you prefer to send a check, it should be mailed to:

Regional Books Fund
In 2017, UMass Press launched a new imprint, Bright Leaf, which publishes insightful and accessible books about New England.
Written for a popular audience, Bright Leaf titles tell stories—about New England’s history, culture, and environment, and about New Englanders themselves. Treating topics that range from the history of slavery and whaling to architecture, birding, and the natural world, Bright Leaf books entertain and inform. It comes as no surprise that these titles have received awards and garnered attention from major media outlets like the Boston Globe, The Portland Press Herald, Publishers Weekly, the New York Times, Book TV, NPR, VPR, and New England Public Radio.
Please donate to our Regional Books Fund now to help us continue publishing vital and entertaining books about New England.
